Official Trailer -- People Say I'm Crazy from Ira Wohl on Vimeo.

My Name is John Cadigan and I have Schizophrenia

John Cadigan filmed his life in order to show others what it is like to have a mental illness. His struggle proves that people with mental illness can not only survive, but thrive.

Schizophrenia is a serious and sometimes debilitating mental illness.  But there is hope, and with the latest treatments, those living with schizophrenia can lead productive and rewarding lives.

Just ask John Cadigan. For ten years, John documented his life after he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. People Say I'm Crazy is the result of these efforts, a film that has become a touchstone for showing the human side of mental illness.

Invaluable as a tool for educators and mental health professionals because of its unfiltered realism, People Say I'm Crazy has also touched the lives many families and individuals struggling with schizophrenia, helping them to cope with, understand, and relate to schizophrenia. Formerly available only for institutional use, for the first time People Say I'm Crazy is now available on DVD for private home use.

We invite you to learn more about John, People Say I'm Crazy, and coping with schizophrenia. We also invite you to share your own experiences, and to sign up for our newsletter for the latest information. As families and as a community, we can beat mental illness.
